This is the best bed on the market if you're looking for a Murphy bed, and that includes custom ones. I especially like the function that allows you to lock in both up and down positions, so that nobody is too light for the frame. It gives me peace of mind. As a designer, I like the aesthetic when it's closed, since it can be used as a desk and/or bookshelf. It's awesome to put knick knacks there and not have to move them or glue them down. After extensive research, I chose the Lori Bed, and it has exceeded my expectations. The quality of the materials is outstanding—solid wood, sturdy construction, and a sleek, well-thought-out design. Working with the pieces was an actual thrill and pleasure—the craftsmanship is so precise that everything fits together like LEGO. One thing to note: the boxes are heavy, so you’ll need at least two people to move and assemble them.

So we turned our guest room into a combination play room/guest room/office space (the last of which is basically just me working at my child's table -- STILL better than the couch!). I had a friend from school drop in last minute because it would take her 3.5 hours to get home, and it was MAGICAL to easy turn this space into a private sleeping area for her while still allowing my child the space to play both in the evening and in the morning before school. Can't believe how happy we are!!
