The Lori Bed - Twin / Horizontal

We installed this as bed for multi-day clients at our music studio and for ourselves. It has been used quite a bit over the last few months, and we and our clients are very happy with it. The installation is involved but very doable, and the instructions are clear and thorough. The build quality is very good.

Absolutely love the Lori bed! Perfect for our guest bedroom that doubles for other functions. Folds up smoothly to free the floor when needed, yet opens into a solid, comfy sleep surface for visitors. We got the Lori mattress and it is worth it. Sturdy build, clean look, and a real space-saving win. 5 stars!

We are extremely happy with our Lori Bed. The design is thoughtful and attractive, and the quality of the construction is evident throughout. The assembly instructions were clear, detailed, and easy to follow, which made the installation process much smoother. The online instruction video was super helpful!

We did experience some delivery issues, but they were unrelated to Lori Beds. What really stood out was how responsive and customer-focused the Lori Beds team was during the situation. They put us first, worked with us to resolve the challenges, and helped get everything back on track so we could complete the installation successfully.

Now that everything is set up, we absolutely love the result. The bed looks fantastic, functions beautifully, and has exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend Lori Beds for both their excellent product and outstanding customer service.

Totally delighted with my Lori bed! I did extensive research and decided to go with Lori bed because of how practical and the wonderful reviews and they were right on point. Additionally, every question that I had was answered immediately and everyone that’s seen it was amazed that I not the handiest of men was able to put it together on my own.

I would highly recommend it to anyone as we are in the process of deciding on buying the additional shelf and nightstand to go along with our furniture piece.

We will probably buy another one in the near future for our garage that we’re converting into a TV room.

Building the bed is time-consuming, but they have done such a great job with packaging and instructions. Having the hardware package out for each step is such a game changer. The only two things that I wish were different about the actual structure is that the baseboard gap was just a little larger so a cord more easily could fit through there, and that the sides of the bed came in just a little bit more so there doesn’t end up with a gap between the mattress and the frame. My first guests are sleeping on this tomorrow, and I hope it works wonderfully for them, or at least well enough that I don’t feel guilty for reclaiming the space in this room every other day that we don’t have company.

I have a very small guest room that I will usually use as a workspace. My Lori bed is perfect here. It's super comfortable and convenient. My only reason for four instead of five stars is that it was more challenging to put together than described. A few details were left out of the instructions. At the end, the frame rubbed against the cabinet a lot. I spent a few hours on a chat with Lori, running back and forth between the computer, getting instructions, and the bed, crawling under the frame to adjust the legs. The person from Lori was patient, clear, listened well. Ultimately, I fixed the problem and feel great about the bed.

The Lori Bed Vertical Queen exceeds our expectations (which we're already pretty high)! The shipment arrived in perfect condition and the process of putting together was straightforward. This may be the only time I've ever said this: The directions were AMAZING! Thorough and well designed instruction manual. Every part was numbered. Every step had its own separately packaged hardware. And there's an online video that walks you through each step. It was a fun putting this bed together!

I am writing this review pleased with the Lori bed I purchase. I love the shelf feature where moving things off of it is not necessary!! My favorite feature, I do wish the shelf height could be taller. Maybe they will change it. The bed height would be nice a bit taller. Which would make the shelves height capacity higher too!

Installation was easy but time consuming. Instructions were pretty clear!

We bought the Lori mattress as well and it is quite comfortable. My dad likes it.

I also love how easy it is to put the bed up and down.

Would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a bed but want to use the room for other things sometimes!

Really happy with the Lori Bed so far. It looks great, feels solid, and makes the room way more useful when we’re not using it as a guest room. It did take a little time to put together, and having two people definitely helps, but overall it was pretty straightforward. Once installed, it feels sturdy and opens and closes smoothly. Definitely glad we went with it.

This Murphy is is awesome and JUST what I was looking for to use in one of my extra bedroom/office! I was very impressed on how well the directions were written and how easy it was to follow them! It is not only beautifully made but very durable and will last a long time. I’m amazed at how easy it is to take down and secure in place. Kudos to whoever worked on the directions btw!! I would highly recommend this bed to anyone looking for this option!

We are just moving into a new condominium and we were desperately in need of a space saving bed for our guest room. We use the room as an office and the gym but we’d like to have a spot for guests to stay. So I did a lot of research and settled down a Laurie bed and I can’t really speak to installation as we had our contractor put it in but so far I’m very happy with the ease of use the size and the look of the Murphy bed.

We are first time murphy bed owners and we searched around not wanting something that would have flimsy or cheap parts since it moves up and down we wanted to make sure it was good quality. We have been using our Lori bed for a 2-3 months now and it has been wonderful. It's exactly what we were looking for to move the bed out of the way while using the room as an office during the day. The installation was a bit lengthly, took 4.5 hours with 4 adults actively working on the assembly and that was after doing the unboxing the night before which took about an hour of moving the boxes inside and unboxing the big pieces. Once you get past the install, you will be happy!

We love our Lori Bed! We installed it in a former guest room so we can also use it as a home office. It is very sturdy and looks lovely in the room. Having the shelves for extra storage is a bonus. Overall we are thrilled with our purchase -- a worthy investment.

We appreciated how thoughtfully everything was designed. All the steps were carefully laid out, and the YouTube video was very helpful. The parts for each step were nicely bagged and labeled. The only step that we had trouble with was finding and drilling into the metal studs, but that is a peculiarity of our high-rise condo. Otherwise, this is really solid.

And I want to especially credit how helpful the Lori beds team was in answering our set up questions. We could submit videos and they were super kind and quick with their responses.

This is a premium product with a premium price. But we’re happy we bought this because safety comes first especially with something that we’ll be raising and pulling down and sleeping in regularly.

Everything arrived marked and ready to assemble. The quality is great and once built really looks beautiful against the wall. We went with the sofa and cabinet extra. Perfect for an nyc apartment.

Install only required a few drill holes into stud wall. Assembly would have been too difficult for me but was easy 4 hour job for my team with prior Murphy bed experience.

We purchased the Lori Bed to replace a trundle bed we had in our guest bedroom. We also purchased the Assisted Lift, Desk + Shelf, and the Mattress. We are both in our 70's, but were able to put together the bed by ourselves, with only some minor lift assistance from our grandson. We did work on it off and on over 3 days. (We're not as young and agile as we used to be). The YouTube video was of great help. We love the bed. My husband is able to have his laptop on the desk (instead of the dining room table). Our next purchase will be the side storage cabinet. We'd highly recommend.

We finished the build and are very happy with the final bed. Instructions are step by step, with the screws and other hardware separated in individual bags and labeled to match the step number in the instructions. There is also a YouTube video which helps to see the details of how it fits together. Overall the quality is great; real wood and sturdy materials.

We are very happy with our Lori Bed. It is easy to take down and put up and it saves space when it is not in use. The mattress is very comfortable. We like the safety features that allow the bed to be locked in position when it is up or down which are useful with small children. The bed can be put up or down when small books are on the shelves without falling over. We recommend the Lori Bed for guest rooms with limited space.

Pros: relatively easy, but time consuming installation. Flexibility for use of space. Ease of use. Solid construction.

Cons: slight damage of boards. Unattractive screws.
