Do I want Vertical or Horizontal?
We offer the Lori Bed in both Vertical and Horizontal orientations, depending on your preferences and space constraints.
Vertical beds are the traditional orientation, and guests can get in and out from either side.
Horizontal beds are a good choice if your ceiling height is lower, or if you don’t want the bed to stick out as far into the room when it’s open.
Can I assemble the Lori Bed myself?
Yes, you don’t need a professional to assemble or install a Lori Bed. Each step is simple and is clearly shown in our assembly instructions and step-by-step videos. The process takes a few hours, and it helps to have a second set of hands here and there, but you don’t need any special skills or tools.

What kind of mattress do I need?
The Lori Bed works with any mattress up to 10 inches thick. We calibrated the lifting mechanism of the Lori Bed to match the weight of The Lori Mattress, which weighs about 50lbs for a Twin and 80lbs for a Queen. Your bed will work best if you choose the Lori Mattress, or one of similar weight.
How does the Lori Bed attach to the wall?
The Lori Bed must be anchored to the wall for safety, but we designed the process to be as simple as possible. Just anchor the rear mounting plate into three studs with two screws each. We supply screws for wood and metal studs. There is no need to screw into the floor or remove your baseboards, like many of our competitors.
If you have masonry or concrete walls, you’ll need to supply the proper anchors for your application. The Lori Bed cannot be mounted to drywall only.

This was the perfect choice for us. Our guest room has beautiful views, especially sunrise so when we don’t have guests I use the room for writing. The Lori bed allows me to create a leave space for cozy chairs and table with the bed stored. When guests arrive it is an easy change over and so far our first guest love it. I bought a mattress topper for extra comfort and it’s fabulous! Value was important. We wanted quality with a reasonable price. We were lucky that two friends had other brands, $7800 price, and we could compare. The Lori Bed comes in much less expensive without loss of quality or look. Assembly…while it took. Several hours the directions were perfect. My husband is not one to follow directions so we made a deal, I would be in charge of directing the build. It was smooth sailing! Will attach photos once or guests have departed!

Very well made and instructions were very clear. Took maybe about 3 hours and was able to do it completely alone. There was only one step where I wish I had some help where you need to insert the assembled mattress platform, but I was able to balance it carefully on a large balance ball. It was either that or asking my spouse to come and help me - guess I'm lazy 😂 Used the bed a few times, and very happy with the results! Highly recommended

It took my husband and I four days to put this bed together. We worked about 2 to 3 hours each day. We are not handy at all!!! But my neighbor is handy so I figured if we had a problem he could help us. The directions are fantastic the video is great. We put it in the office. It is very sturdy. The last steps we need another person. I would highly recommend this bed. Make sure you unpack everything and stage it where you can see all the numbers. Having everything organized made it a lot easier. Make sure you have an electronic screw driver and a drill.
