The Lori Bed MUST be anchored to the wall for safety. We supply screws for wood and metal studs. If your wall is another material like concrete or masonry, you will need to supply the necessary mounting screws.

When will my Lori Bed arrive?
Our Murphy beds and other products are usually in-stock and ready to ship the next business day. Everything arrives at your doorstep, typically in 3 to 7 days. Large orders may ship via freight.
Any pre-order or backordered products will show the expected shipping date before you place your order.
Do I want Vertical or Horizontal?
We offer the Lori Bed in both Vertical and Horizontal orientations, depending on your preferences and space constraints.
Vertical beds are the traditional orientation, and guests can get in and out from either side.
Horizontal beds are a good choice if your ceiling height is lower, or if you don’t want the bed to stick out as far into the room when it’s open.
Can I assemble the Lori Bed myself?
Yes, you don’t need a professional to assemble or install a Lori Bed. Each step is simple and is clearly shown in our assembly instructions and step-by-step videos. The process takes a few hours, and it helps to have a second set of hands here and there, but you don’t need any special skills or tools.
What kind of mattress do I need?
The Lori Bed works with any mattress up to 10 inches thick. We calibrated the lifting mechanism of the Lori Bed to match the weight of The Lori Mattress, which weighs about 50lbs for a Twin and 80lbs for a Queen. Your bed will work best if you choose the Lori Mattress, or one of similar weight.
How does the Lori Bed attach to the wall?
The Lori Bed must be anchored to the wall for safety, but we designed the process to be as simple as possible. Just anchor the rear mounting plate into three studs with two screws each. We supply screws for wood and metal studs. There is no need to screw into the floor or remove your baseboards, like many of our competitors.
If you have masonry or concrete walls, you’ll need to supply the proper anchors for your application. The Lori Bed cannot be mounted to drywall only.

We needed a solution to our guest bedroom being converted to a yoga/workout/meditation room without losing the capability of occasionally hosting guests. Our Lori Bed (Queen, Vertical, Daybreak) and Lori Mattress solved that dilemma and has exceeded expectations for both space saving, practicality, and comfort. Assembly was extensive, but doable, and WORTH IT, especially for the ease-of-use factor once assembled. Properly assembled, the Lori Bed is a tank...sturdy and reliable. It easily converts from it's "cabinet" form to bed in seconds and my 75+ yr old parents can do it by themselves. The cabinet looks sharp. The Lori bed mattress sleeps wonderfully (I had to try it). Aside from large renovations, our Lori Bed is one of the most practical investments we've made for better utilizing our home's interior.

I love this bed! I purchased the Queen Lori Bed and it's so nice to have when extra guest space is needed. I love that it has a lock to keep little ones safe and the lowering/raising piston mechanism makes it so that anyone can handle the bed. It's very sturdy and I don't ever worry about anyone getting "jipped" when they sleep on this bed -- it's as good as any other bed in our house! I would definitely purchase it again should the need arise.

Comfort, ease, style and surprises, that’s our new Lori bed. We expected comfort and love the mattress. The room has been transformed by the presence of the bed…we live in a simple cape style home and the bed looks like it was meant to be in our family room all along. I’m 77 years old and questioned my ability to open and close a Murphy bed, but as you can see, it is easy and fun for me to do. And the surprise part: at first, our family and friends think we’ve glued our precious things to the shelving and are surprised to see that the just stay put when we open and close the bed. What a treat it is to be able to surprise and delight! I can’t stop smiling 😌

Overall very happy with the horizontal twin bed. Comfortable and sleeping well. Two suggestions as you will see in the video:
1. Change the stud mounting screws from the Phillip-heads you provide to Torx-head construction screws. The Phillip-heads are hard to drive and slightly strip. The Torx-head screws provide a solid grip.
2. The assembly went fine, but for some reason there is a slight lack of clearance where the base meets the metal bar inside the cabinet. A slight push moves it past it. But maybe design it with slightly more clearance so this doesn't occur.
These are minor issues, but I thought they were good to point out.
