The Lori Bed MUST be anchored to the wall for safety. We supply screws for wood and metal studs. If your wall is another material like concrete or masonry, you will need to supply the necessary mounting screws.

Our Murphy beds and other products are usually in-stock and ready to ship the next business day. Everything arrives at your doorstep, typically in 3 to 7 days. Large orders may ship via freight.
Any pre-order or backordered products will show the expected shipping date before you place your order.
Do I want Vertical or Horizontal?
We offer the Lori Bed in both Vertical and Horizontal orientations, depending on your preferences and space constraints.
Vertical beds are the traditional orientation, and guests can get in and out from either side.
Horizontal beds are a good choice if your ceiling height is lower, or if you don’t want the bed to stick out as far into the room when it’s open.
Can I assemble the Lori Bed myself?
Yes, you don’t need a professional to assemble or install a Lori Bed. Each step is simple and is clearly shown in our assembly instructions and step-by-step videos. The process takes a few hours, and it helps to have a second set of hands here and there, but you don’t need any special skills or tools.
What kind of mattress do I need?
The Lori Bed works with any mattress up to 10 inches thick. We calibrated the lifting mechanism of the Lori Bed to match the weight of The Lori Mattress, which weighs about 50lbs for a Twin and 80lbs for a Queen. Your bed will work best if you choose the Lori Mattress, or one of similar weight.
How does the Lori Bed attach to the wall?
The Lori Bed must be anchored to the wall for safety, but we designed the process to be as simple as possible. Just anchor the rear mounting plate into three studs with two screws each. We supply screws for wood and metal studs. There is no need to screw into the floor or remove your baseboards, like many of our competitors.
If you have masonry or concrete walls, you’ll need to supply the proper anchors for your application. The Lori Bed cannot be mounted to drywall only.

We just got this bed a few weeks ago, and have already hosted multiple people on it! We love that it’s so sleek, thin, and pretty to look at. The only complaint is some sticky residue is on the front from a sticker/tag. We don’t want to hurt the bed at all trying to get it off, but I’m sure it will be fine. The instructions are also pretty good, but would recommend watching the YouTube video, especially when installing the door to the cabinet. Also, you’ll notice that ours is under a drop ceiling. There is one step that has you screw something in from the top, so we couldn’t do that step… so might be good for you to consider! But the bed is still very sturdy.

Purchasing the Lori Bed was a last minute decision, as our son informed us he was coming to visit with some of his friends. We were pleased with how quickly it arrived. Our handyman helped us put it together and the installation went smoothly. We like how easily the bed goes up and down, especially with the quarter stop at the top. The locking mechanism on the sides works well and gives us peace of mind with the bed's stability. My son's friend slept on the bed the first week, and my son slept on it the second. Both said it was comfortable, with my son liking the mattress better than our other guest room! We positioned the bed about 24" away from the back wall with the intention of adding storage (drawers/shelves) on both sides of the bed and across the top. We purchased the shelf and desk combo and, when the bed is up, plan to use the desk as a work area. Overall it's been a good purchase; a comfy bed for my visiting kids and friends, and a work station for the rest of the time.

We didn't have to hurry to make the bed, so we didn't. We did a couple of steps a day so we wouldn't get tired or frustrated. it took about a week to do but we finished it! It's great! Frees up floor space but we can still have guests. We tried to post a video of our completed bed but I couldn't figure out how to do it. That was the hardest part of the process!
