Do I want Vertical or Horizontal?
We offer the Lori Bed in both Vertical and Horizontal orientations, depending on your preferences and space constraints.
Vertical beds are the traditional orientation, and guests can get in and out from either side.
Horizontal beds are a good choice if your ceiling height is lower, or if you don’t want the bed to stick out as far into the room when it’s open.
Can I assemble the Lori Bed myself?
Yes, you don’t need a professional to assemble or install a Lori Bed. Each step is simple and is clearly shown in our assembly instructions and step-by-step videos. The process takes a few hours, and it helps to have a second set of hands here and there, but you don’t need any special skills or tools.
What kind of mattress do I need?
The Lori Bed works with any mattress up to 10 inches thick. We calibrated the lifting mechanism of the Lori Bed to match the weight of The Lori Mattress, which weighs about 50lbs for a Twin and 80lbs for a Queen. Your bed will work best if you choose the Lori Mattress, or one of similar weight.
How does the Lori Bed attach to the wall?
The Lori Bed must be anchored to the wall for safety, but we designed the process to be as simple as possible. Just anchor the rear mounting plate into three studs with two screws each. We supply screws for wood and metal studs. There is no need to screw into the floor or remove your baseboards, like many of our competitors.
If you have masonry or concrete walls, you’ll need to supply the proper anchors for your application. The Lori Bed cannot be mounted to drywall only.

So... Like many first time homebuyers, we sacrificed a bit of square footage to find a home that we can afford. That means we had to get creative with how we furnished our rooms so that we can maximize the functionality while also ensuring that we had an aesthetically pleasing space. The Lori Bed (With shelf and desk combo) fit our needs to a tee! The biggest plus for us compared to other murphy beds is that the bed itself is actually comfortable, not just a pad on top of expandable supports. The hydraulic lift function also makes it easy to pull down, which is perfect for when our parents come over to visit. The product is sturdy and pretty easy to assemble, though there were a couple of sections that required us to refer to the instructional videos (which are EXCELLENT) to figure out what we needed to do.

I am so grateful that I spent the extra money to buy a quality, USA made wall bed. The bed parts were expertly packed and all pieces protected in shipping. The assembly video was helpful and the book was easy to follow, with all the tools and hardware labeled by steps coordinated to the direction book. It did take two people and about 3 hours to assemble, but once it was done and the Lori bed mattress was unpacked, I was so happy with my purchase! I’m looking forward to providing my visitors with a comfortable night’s sleep and, when the bed is not in use, plenty of room for activities!

I did a lot of research trying to find the perfect space-saving bed for a very small room. The measurements provided for the Lori Bed are very accurate which made planning easy. It was surprisingly hard to find an option that could easily be installed flush against a wall with baseboards, but this was perfect. Even with a small room and a low-hanging overhead lamp, I was easily able to fit the queen Lori Bed and still have plenty of space to use the room when the bed is not in use. I highly recommend the Lori Bed!
