The Lori Bed - Queen / Vertical

We needed to make our living room into a second sleeping area, and the Lori bed really delivered on quality and ease of use. It did take two of us all day to build and mount this, but it was 100% worth it. Pro-tip - get someone strong to help with the step of getting the platform mounted onto the hinging mechanism.

We've been sleeping on the Lori Bed since April and love it. The Lori Bed design, combined with IKEA Besta cabinetry we mounted around it (just about the same depth), elevates the living room space. While you can tell that there's a bed installed on the wall, it's not the focal point. We hang some art on the bed handle during the day to make the bed into a display wall.

We love a firm mattress, and the Lori Mattress was a little too soft, but we were able to get an 11" mattress to fit nicely. The customer service team was very helpful throughout the process of trying and returning the mattress.

High quality materials used on this bed. The steel hardware was much nicer than expected, especially considering the decent price.

We found the assembly instructions to be extremely well organized and easy to follow. Each package was marked and separated to match the instructions. It took two of us (husband and wife team) the better part of a day to get it completely put together and we took breaks. The horizontal design was perfect for this unique lower level room at our seaside cottage.

You can use the bed in either direction for smaller people and especially for kids. This design also allows us to put art or a mirror on the wall behind the bed, we intend to do. It’s easy to close and is relatively useful with the added shelves. No need to remove whatever you will store on the shelves. For us it will be a space for guests to put their things..

The customer service was very good with very fast response times. Shipping is also quick. Overall, very impressed.

We are so happy with the Lori Queen Bed Desk combo. We had a contractor install the unit partly because we do not have the tools and it’s not our strength. Once he finished he was convinced he needs one for his home office. He was impressed with the workmanship and the ultra organized instructions with labeled parts. We were already impressed with the company from our research, but it was great to have it validated by a pro. We will certainly purchase again should the need arise. Great quality product. The wood is beefy, the metal is well machined, nicely coated and free of chips, scratches and burrs.

For the most part went together easy. The steps are clearly outlined and each step has a corresponding bag of hardware. It makes for a jumbo-sized Lego set that is really hard to mess up.

For anyone building this pay extra attention to how you attach the boards that will sit under the mattress and form the face of the cabinet when closed. The pre-drilled holes are not always exact. They were close enough that I could not drill new holes and any attempt to modify the layout was fruitless as the screws would just wander into the existing hole. Now the front is a little off center and the bottom scrapes the interior frame when opening/closing. I don’t see an immediate fix outside of total disassembly.

Outside of that this is a flawless product. It is easy to use, looks great, takes up little space and essentially gave me an entire room back for free use. Now a 9x12 room nets me an office space, workout space, and spare bed. Hard to beat.

The piston assist is quiet and smooth. Much less cumbersome than spring-assisted beds and I feel a little more at ease than I did with my head next to a creaking spring set.

If you’re on the fence go for it. I’ve looked at a ton of these types of beds and used a few first hand. I have found nothing in the price range that can beat this one. Maybe a custom one-off build but that’s time and money down the drain.…
