Our Murphy beds and other products are usually in-stock and ready to ship the next business day. Everything arrives at your doorstep, typically in 3 to 7 days.
Any pre-order or backordered products will show the expected shipping date before you place your order.
Do I want Vertical or Horizontal?
We offer the Lori Bed in both Vertical and Horizontal orientations, depending on your preferences and space constraints.
Vertical beds are the traditional orientation, and guests can get in and out from either side.
Horizontal beds are a good choice if your ceiling height is lower, or if you don’t want the bed to stick out as far into the room when it’s open.
Can I assemble the Lori Bed myself?
Yes, you don’t need a professional to assemble or install a Lori Bed. Each step is simple and is clearly shown in our assembly instructions and step-by-step videos. The process takes a few hours, and it helps to have a second set of hands here and there, but you don’t need any special skills or tools.
What kind of mattress do I need?
The Lori Bed works with any mattress up to 10 inches thick. We calibrated the lifting mechanism of the Lori Bed to match the weight of The Lori Mattress, which weighs about 50lbs for a Twin and 80lbs for a Queen. Your bed will work best if you choose the Lori Mattress, or one of similar weight.
How does the Lori Bed attach to the wall?
The Lori Bed must be anchored to the wall for safety, but we designed the process to be as simple as possible. Just anchor the rear mounting plate into three studs with two screws each. We supply screws for wood and metal studs. There is no need to screw into the floor or remove your baseboards, like many of our competitors.
If you have masonry or concrete walls, you’ll need to supply the proper anchors for your application. The Lori Bed cannot be mounted to drywall only.

The installation process was definitely challenging and took more time and effort than expected, so be prepared for that part. That said, once everything was in place, the bed exceeded our expectations. The frame feels very solid and stable, with no wobbling or shifting, which gives a lot of confidence in its build quality. The Lori Bed with shelves has been a great solution for our space. We use the space as an office and den most of the time and the bed is an attractive addition to the space. When we have guests, it's easy to pull the bed down and convert the den into a comfortable guest room. I love how I can open and close the bed by myself. The fact that it locks when it's closed and stops 1/3 of the way open gives me confidence that it's safe.
Assembly took awhile (5 hours), but the instructions and videos were very clear and everything was well packaged and labeled.

Really impressed with how easy this was to put together and install. Sure, it takes time but I did it over the course of a few days. The instructions were very easy to follow and I was able to complete the vast majority of it by myself. The pieces are well made and you can tell this is a higher quality product than some of the cheaper murphy beds available. It is slim to the wall and very easy to put up and down! My only concern would be uninstalling and reinstalling elsewhere, but fortunately I have no plans to move it.
